i think the old bad apple saying rings true for journalists.... more in the minds of the viewers/readers, but also within the journalists themselves.

interesting court case i'm covering this whole week... attempted murder where the alleged assailant and his wife dressed up as "Indians" and tried to scalp their landlady. i'm just glad that my second story of the day is always much lighter.

it's sort of sad when your bowling score fails to beat your golf score.

today, we bowled three games, and my best score was 143.

my golf score from the afternoon round of 18 was 144. 72 on the front nine, 72 on the back.

funny thing was i was starting to nail my long shots at the end of the course. i was just four- and five-putting a lot.

so stupid too, a lot of them were 3 foots putts i have no business missing.

on the other hand, today was the day of minor wins. because of my bowling, i won a bet where a friend had to buy me McDonald's fries (he's a Monopoly game addict). earlier, at dinner, i slipped a dollar into a video poker machine, bet 5 cents, and got a flush. Owen walked out 30 cents richer (unless you count the dinner cost).

It's been a rough two days. Two days in a row I've had computer problems which have left me frustrated, cold, scared, and naked, lying broken on the floor.

Okay, just frustrated maybe with the fact that my stories aren't sent in their entirety... (Illusion never changed, into something real.....) So we're going to give it one more try, and hopefully, this time, things will work out for the best.

Because necks and going to fly if they don't.

I was in a parade today.

And no, Jeff, I wasn't the Grand Marshal. And yes, Jeff, I was probably the only Chinese guy in the parade.

It was homecoming for Montana State University-Bozeman, and KTVM is a sponsor of the event. I ended up driving the newscar with the trunk open, while other KTVM staff ran back and forth handing out pom-poms from the back of the car. Twas fun, and a bit different from being in the marching band in a parade. :) More comfortable, that's for sure.

Afterward, I shot the whole entire game for our weekend show's highlight reel.

This was the first time I've shot four quarters of football. The other sports I've done comprised first halves of football and just a couple points from volleyball games. Quite exhausting... and...

my shoulder is killing me now. Must.... ice.... before it falls... off...

The hardest thing about running is learning to walk first.

I want so badly to write better and edit better and to interview better and to report better, but it behooves me (hehe, behooves) to remember.... I've been a professional for just a little more than a month. It's not going to happen overnight.

But I know I can be better, you know?

sigh...? Patience is a virtue best served cold.... or something like that. Hmm, I should have stuck with that first one.

Another week passes.

Weekend was goood rest. I barely did anything except clean, sleep and watch tv. I also read some. Well, and of course, church. But I have yet to find a place here in Butte where I feel comfortable.

Still, I think I'm getting used to living here. Maybe.

I gotta get to bed earlier.

yeah, it's true, the blog has slowed down.

it's because i jinxed myself.

last week i said how i'm just not busy at all in my current job, and that i find myself sitting around doing nothing a lot.

So this week, God decided to make me work three 10+ hour days. Not counting today, which will likely be no different.

Haha, honestly though, as I've said, I prefer this to doing nothing.

Now if only I have time to eat.

Is it really too much to ask for a hometown with a Jamba Juice?

(there's not one in the entire state of Montana)

Oh, and a couple weeks back I asked this Chinese kid if his parents served boba at their restaurant.

His reply: "Boba?"

question: What is "onasteek?" answer: a silly name from a silly joke from a time long past. but enough about onasteek. let's talk about me.
